Medical University Plovdiv was founded in 1945 as a Faculty of Medicine within Plovdiv University, shortly after World War II.

Plovdiv Medical University is one of Bulgaria’s leading medical universities, recognized for its long academic tradition, modern medical education, and strong international student community, with programs taught in both Bulgarian and English.
Medicine: Master’s Degree (Physician). 6 year course (includes pre-clinical and clinical training) with a final year that focuses on clinical internship. Fees are generally paid yearly or in two instalments. €10000 for 1st year students.
Dental Medicine: Master’s Degree (Dentist). Duration is 5.5 years. €9000 fees for 1st years. Clinical practice and internships are integrated, especially in the later semesters, giving hands-on experience treating patients under supervision.
